AsaJu

The earliest available Subarashii Kudamono patented variety, AsaJu is harvested in early September.

It bears a luminous, yellow-green color with a light russett adding to the unique character of each fruit. AsaJu is semi-sweet with a subtle flavor. It is quite crisp and very juicy. Distinctive because of its very delicate skin and smooth, round shape. Incredibly crisp and juicy, its taste is quite refreshing.

JunoSan

More distinct and slightly sweeter than AsaJu, JunoSan ripens in mid-September. It has a characteristic reddish-brown color and a smooth, round shape. JunoSan is very crisp, very juicy and richly flavored.

EliSan

EliSan, our newest variety of Asian Pear, made its debut during the Fall 2009 harvest. This patented variety is deliciously crisp and juicy. A copper tone marbles its exterior, EliSan is also very sweet with a complex flavor. Don't miss your chance to try it during the Fall 2010 Harvest season!

SuSan

This late-harvested Subarashii Kudamono patented variety of Asian Pear, harvested late October through early November. SuSan is remarkably sweet with a lush rich flavor. It has a distinctly ovate-conical shape with clean, light brown skin and is very crisp and juicy. Best enjoyed peeled!

LilySan

Typically the last of our harvest, LilySan carries a milder, semi-sweet, clear flavor. It has deep brown, russetted skin and a smooth, wide, round shape. LilySan also has a more delicate crispness than AsaJu, JunoSan and SuSan.

Niitaka

This traditional variety of Asian Pear grown in our Subarashii Kudamono orchards is golden, light brown in color. Niitaka is very crisp and very juicy. It is sweet with a hint of a nutty flavor.

Hosui

Hosui, a traditional variety of Asian Pear grown in our Subarashii Kudamono orchards, expresses a mild, clear and sweet flavor. This crisp and juicy fruit is tan in color and displays a slight conical shape.

Yoinashi

Yoinashi, a traditional variety of Asian Pear grown in our Subarashii Kudamono orchards, is incredibly sweet, with a pleasantly refreshing flavor. It is golden-orange in color and has a smooth skin and is slightly conical in shape.

Olympic

Olympic, a traditional variety of Asian Pear grown in our Subarashii Kudamono orchards, is very round, reddish brown in color. It has a sweet, rich flavor and is very crisp and juicy.
